With members' support and funding, our PTO has a big impact on the school. We've been able to hold fun events such as the Trunk or Treat, multiple teacher appreciation luncheons, breakfasts, coffee, Glover Back Together celebrations, provide books for each classroom, room parent coordination, as well as provide engaging enrichment programs throughout the year.

There are many ways to get involved with the PTO. We would love to have you on our board, have you attend meetings, or sign up and volunteer for events or to support Magic Hat Thrift Store in support of Glover School. Here are a few ways to support our Glover PTO:

We are still participating in the Box Tops for Education program. Families can use the Box Top app to download receipts. The program allows for 10 cents per box top which adds up quickly and really supports our efforts!

It's the same Amazon you know, same products, same prices, same service. Simply shop at smile.amazon.com, and choose Glover/Eveleth PTO Inc and Amazon will donate 0.5% of the price of your eligible purchases.

Volunteer at Magic Hat

The Magic Hat Thrift Shop, Inc. collects clothing and household items via donations and resells these items in their store located "under the gym" at the Marblehead Veterans Middle School, 217 Pleasant Street.  Their mission is to generate funds for the Parent-Teacher Organizations of the Marblehead Public Schools for student educational enrichment programs.  They are a vital resource to the Marblehead Public School PTOs!  To learn more about their impact, please visit their website at: https://magichatthriftshop.com.

Magic Hat relies on volunteers to help work in their donation section of the store. Each week is designated to a specific school to ensure that hours are covered.  In order to receive our allotment check we must work a minimum amount of hours every 6 months.  The allotment period runs 10/1  - 3/31 and 4/1 - 9/30.

This is a great way to support Glover School!  Parents, grandparents, and friends are welcome to sign up and volunteer.  The more hours we volunteer, the Glover School PTO will receive additional funds.  Please ensure you sign in under Glover School to receive credit for your volunteer time.

The Magic Hat accepts donations of lightly used clothing and household items.  Please visit their website at: https://magichatthriftshop.com/take-action/#donate for a full list of donation guidelines.

Parking - Volunteers should park in front of the middle school playing fields, not directly in front of the shop entrance as parking is limited for shoppers.

If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out to the Glover School PTO at [email protected].

Thank you so much for your time and support!

Remember even if you cannot volunteer there are always ways to earn hours to support below!

  1. You can pick up and do laundry at home and return to Magic Hat (1 load = 1 volunteer hour) - laundry is counted when it is returned, please make sure it is logged
  2. You can donate a small piece of furniture (for every $10 the item is sold for we get 1 volunteer hour!)
  3. Stop in and volunteer anytime - just be sure to let them know you are doing so on behalf of Glover School (each hour counts!)
  4. If you aren't able to help earn hours for Glover, don't forget that your donations are still important to Magic Hat's overall success!

Every bit of participation, big or small, is immensely appreciated.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at [email protected].  Thanks for supporting another enriching and exciting Glover School year.
